How it Works

The By a Nose timer was invented by using four beams rather than one. Research on 700 head of horses established the common nose height of 36,42,48, and 54”. This can be accomplished by using 4 beams to catch the nose height range rather than a simple 1 beam timing system.

Introducing

Experience unparalleled accuracy and performance with the By A Nose timing device

Ultra-Precise Timing

4 beams going across at different heights which increases the accuracy of the barrel racing times from the multiple beams.

Durable Construction

Created, designed, and protected by a metal casing to withstand all weather elements such as sun, wind, rain, etc. They are built to last to compete and complete barrel races of all ages and sizes.

Wireless Connectivity

It’s as simple as Bluetooth connectivity through every unit. Cell phone service/hotspot does not need to be needed or provided. As simple as connecting to any other Bluetooth device.

Instantaneous Results

Results are given immediately through the use of the pendant and also the phone app. With the help of the phone app, the results can be placed in chronological order as they are run, results can also be placed in fastest to slowest time and vice versa.

Customizable Settings

With the phone app, you may change the race settings to time in the hundredths to thousandths, pending what your event requests.

For example. (.65 or .654)

Intuitive Interface

Currently work with the Daktronics scoreboard to interface with different big screens along with the farm tek scoreboard (Original cord from the farm tek scoreboard is needed)

This tripod is easy to set up and always accurate!
Woodbury hired him to travel the country, filming over 700 barrel racing runs at major rodeos. Using state of the art technology, the runs and their times were analyzed to record timer heights and nose heights both starting the run and finishing the run. From these numbers, Woodbury designed a timer tripod with a standard height and WITHOUT adjustable legs.

This tripod is easy to set up and is ALWAYS THE SAME HEIGHT. He was also able to determine the nose height range of horses crossing the eye.
